​MS8 Vision
Middle School 8 students will become critical thinkers and ambassadors of their own learning to meet the challenges of the 21st century.

MS8 Mission
Our mission is for the students at Middle School 8 to learn and apply real life concepts through cooperative learning, the use of technology and engaging activities to ensure college and career readiness.

School-wide Priority Statement

Administrators will build teacher capacity to use purposefully designed rigorous tasks, opportunities for rich discussion and multiple entry points for diverse learners using the Hess Matrix and Bloom’s Taxonomy.

2020-2021 CEP GOALS

  • By June 2021, there will be a 3 increase, from 35% to 38% of all students achieving Level 3 and Level 4, as measured by Periodic Assessment Benchmarks n ELA.
  • By June 2021, there will be a 2% increase, from 28% to 30% of All Students achieving at Level 3 and Level 4, as measured by Periodic Assessment Benchmarks in Math.
  • By June 2021, NYC School Survey for parents in the area of Strong Family and Community- Ties  will increase by 3%, from 79% to 82% in communication with teachers about student performance as measured by NYC School Environment Survey.
